12 things I learned in 2023 from my patients

1. Not every patient wants to know your opinion. Some want you to do as they say.

2. What Alternative medicine practitioners lack in evidence they compensate with confidence and anecdotes

3. Patients who actively understand their disease show better results after treatment

4. We purchase generic medicines at 90 percent off but fast food at by one get one offer.

5. Everyone at my clinic says "We never eat Bahar ka khana" (then who eats Bahar ka khana and aren't they supposed to get sick?)

6. Everyone wants guaranteed money-back results of treatment.

7. Patients can choose surgery over medication if the former is for free.

8. It's difficult to make patients feel satisfied without prescribing antibiotics.

9. Not every patient comes for treatment. Some just want it to feel heard.

10. We still believe rice, potatoes, brinjal, and curd can cause wound infection.

11. Even fully grown adults are fussy about eating vegetables and fruits.

12. Listening to people open up to me and being able to help them is a privilege I'd never give up.

I would like to hear back from you.
